Pipeline Projects
With completion of major projects like HCPL, VDPL, HPCL’s mainline capacity has increased to 35.2 MMTPA & branch line capacity has increased to 23 MMTPA and network length from 3785 km to 5132 km.
Pipeline Projects completed in 2022 are:
1. Extension of Visakh-Vijayawada-Secunderabad Pipeline (VVSPL) from Vijayawada to a new marketing Terminal at Dharmapuri (VDPL Project)
- 697 km, 16" dia product pipeline from existing Vijayawada station on existing VVSPL to Dharmapuri Terminal.
- Marketing Terminal at Dharmapuri with product storage and Rail/Road loading facilities.
2. Hassan Cherlapally LPG Pipeline Project (HCPL)
- 650 km, 14” dia from Hassan to Cherlapalli LPG Pipeline project originating from existing Mangalore-Hassan-Mysore-Yediyuru LPG pipeline to HPCL’s LPG Bottling plant at Cherlapalli.
- Capacity augmentation of MHMBPL pipeline.
3. Barmer Palanpur Pipeline Project (BPPL) (Mechanically Completed)
- 216 km, 18" dia pipeline from HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Ltd. (HRRL), a JV between HPCL and Govt. of Rajasthan to existing Palanpur Terminal.
Major Pipeline Projects under execution are:
1. Bathinda Sangrur Pipeline (BSPL Project)
- Existing Ramanmandi-Bathinda 10” dia pipeline (RBhPL) originating from HMEL’s Guru Gobind Singh Refinery is being extended by 90 km up to Sangrur Depot.
- The project is expected to complete by 2024.
2. Haldia Panagarh LPG Pipeline Project (HPPL)
- 215 km, 10” dia LPG Pipeline from Haldia to Panagarh originating from HALL LPG Import & Storage facility, Haldia to HPCL LPG Bottling Plant at Panagarh, West Bengal.
- The project is expected to complete by 2025.
