HP RecPol
HPGRDC has converted the in-house
plastic waste into useful products under
the name of HP-RecPol. One of the
important products of HP-RecPol is Plastic
Brick which is made of 100% in-house
plastic wastes such as tested plastic
specimens/films, plastic labwares, etc.
HP TriJet
HPCL Green R&D Centre (HPGRDC) has
developed a process named HP-TRIJET
(Hindustan Petroleum Triglyceride to Jet
fuels) in order to convert Used Cooking
Oil (UCO) to Synthetic aviation fuels
(SAF). Green Naphtha, Green diesel are
other valuable products obtained from
this process. Green diesel and SAF are
the green products from this process that
will help HPCL towards decarbonisation.
Hydrocracking route has been identified
as the potential process for production of
biofuels. Main novelty of HP TriJet
technology is novel tandem single stage
catalyst and in-house pretreatment
process for removal of impurities.
