HPCL R&D has the state of the art facilities for catering research based services to various refining processes like Hydrotreating, FCC, Reforming, Isomerisation and other processes. The centre is equipped with various pilot plants, micro-reactors, analytical equipment and process models which are extensively used during selection of fresh catalyst supplied by the vendors prior to usage in commercial FCC, Diesel hydrotreating, Naphtha hydrotreating units. Also, HPCL R&D has been providing various services to refineries such as crude assay evaluations, sulphur speciation of refinery streams, catalyst TOS studies, etc.
