By and
large, the recruitment in
Management Cadre is made in entry level positions. Applications
are invited from bright, result-oriented, young and energetic persons with
good initiative through open advertisement.
1.
Officer Trainees
Engineers / MBA–HR/
Marketing are recruited as Officer
Trainees (OT).
OTs initially undergo training for one year.
During the training
period, Trainees are entitled to a consolidated stipend of Rs.20,000/- per month.
Upon successful
completion of training, OTs are absorbed at the
entry level in the Management Cadre in Salary Grade "A" in the Salary Scale of Rs.12000 - 17500 plus VDA (Variable Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), CCA (City Compensatory Allowance) etc.
and other perquisites as applicable to particular grade.
After absorption, the
officer is on probation for next 6
months.
On successful
completion of probationary period, the officer is confirmed
as the employee of the Corporation.
2.
Officers
Most of the recruitment is made at entry level only.
However, HPCL may recruit Officers at senior levels, through open
advertisements, to meet some specific requirements, like Exploration &
Production, R&D etc. for which expertise
may not be available internally.
IT
Officers and Accounts Officers are also directly recruited through open advertisement in S/G ‘A’.
